Could a doctor who is practising in a EU country, transfer his tax duties in Cyprys, while he continues to practise in the other EU country?

DEAR PASCAL. YOU NEED TO HAVE A REGISTERED OFFICE IN CYPRUS. YOU WILL BE TAXED IN CYPRUS TAX VARIANT.

@Dmitri and NS : Interesting. I would really like you to explain a bit more about this. Particularly I am really interested how you practice in a EU Country and not pay tax in that country? I am sure it looks really great to issue receipts from Cyprus in a EU place you are working for. Perhaps even for the National Health Service? I can only advice you to seek independent legal and tax advice for your affairs and don't fall for dubious promises on email. info(at)eu-hub.com www.eu-hub.com Eu-Hub Malta Limited Skype: euhubmalta

To rephrase your questions, Pascal, you would like to know if you can be taxed in Cyprus while practice in the EU. Strictly speaking this is not possible. However, you may have other options; say for example you provide health care services under the name of Cyprus entity which has seconded you UK. The bills are raised from Cyprus and paid in Cyprus bank account. You receive some salary on which you will have to pay UK tax. Profits less any expenses accumulated in Cyprus will be taxed at 10%. It all depends on your particular situation, circumstances, aims and what is possible. If you have any further questions, feel free to visit our website www.qnta.biz or post you questions on our Facebook, LinkedIn page or Group "Cyprus Tax". Dimiter Quantia Advisors

Dear Pascal I assume you already know the benefits of Cyprus in particular its extensive network of tax treaties. In order to give you an assessment of the tax implications we will need more information. Please visit our website www.lstsconsultants.com to find out about our firm and fees and send me an email at targyrou@lstsconsultants.com and I will come back with set of questions to fully understand your operation.

There would be two HUGE problems to have this work. Most of European countries -if not all- require that medical doctors register with some official organization to be licenced to practice medicine, this registration being mandatory. With only an office in Cyprus, even if fully qualified, you may not be allowed to practice in your home country. This would also be quite difficult to have public health insurance repay your patient's bills, especially without disclosing your practice is actually in the country and not in Cyprus
